Group Relations Manager
Greg has over 30 years of experience in Christian non-profit work. He has worked for YMCA, The Salvation Army and has 15 years’ experience in higher education, 11 of those with Western. In addition, he has been a national trainer in staff supervision; strategic planning and group & team building. Greg has served on numerous boards, committees and community volunteer initiatives. A number of these groups he has served as their Chair. He is a son of a pastor and often says “I learned about the church from underneath Dad’s desk”. He has a deep passion for the church and its essential role in healthy communities. He has seen firsthand many of the challenges church leaders face and believes deeply in the positive impact that The Center for Leadership Development can have in helping church leadership tackle those challenges. Greg was born in Canada and is still a Canadian Citizen. He has a BA degree from Western Washington University, majoring in Recreation Leadership with minors in Physical Education and Business. He has been married for 37 years, has two adult daughters, both married to Christian men, two grandsons, Malakai (4/12) and Noah (2). Greg is an avid sports fan with hockey being his favorite, he is Canadian after all.
