We know that this is a difficult time for churches as we all continue to seek the best ways to engage with our congregations. With this in mind, we wanted to give you a few recommendations on how CLD courses could be used by your church to meet the need for Christian education in a socially distanced world.
• One of the best ways to help your church/group grow is to have a course mentor or moderator, who will engage with individuals as they work through material (we can provide help learning the tools provided for moderators)
• CLD courses could be used by a small group, or set up as an education program by your church
• We would recommend having individuals watch 1-3 sessions on their own (depending on the pace and frequency you prefer), working through the materials in the Participant’s Guide.
• When the learners come together as a group (perhaps by Zoom, Skype, or some other video meeting platform), our recommendation is that the time be spent in discussion unpacking the material from the sessions, with a focus on application directly into your church’s unique context.
We believe that together we can make a difference during these difficult times. While we are not able to meet in person, through a bit of planning and use of available tools, there is still a tremendous opportunity to help our people grow closer to God through engagement with his Word. We would love to partner with you to set up a course or certificate to meet your congregation’s specific needs.
Our heart as Center for Leadership Development staff is to see the church grow and flourish, and we deeply believe the courses we offer can be a wonderful tool in doing just that. We are available over email, phone, or even a zoom call if you have any questions about how we can help serve your church community through the courses we offer. Please, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
